This wall had been defaced with graffiti done in black aerosol paint. Initially an attempt was made to cover it with a non matching white aerosol paint. The result is obvious. The portable instrument is used to take a sample from a spot of the wall with no graffiti. The instrument is then taken back to the vehicle and downloaded into the computer. A paint formula is then generated to match the sample data. The formula is then taken to the tinter and using the specified base and quantity of various tints, the operator dispenses the appropriate quantities to match the color sample that was taken from the wall. The lid is returned to the base gallon can and placed into the shaker for approximately 3 minutes to thouroughly mix the base and pigments. The wall is then repainted with the matching paint to mitigate the original graffiti as wells as the attempt at covering it up.
